Vet, Check, Split: The Conversations of Non-Monogamy
In ethical non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships there are 3 conversations had repeatedly. The Vet conversation before you engage in a new situation. The Check-in conversation that you have continuously in the relationship. Finally the Split conversation, the conversation had when the relationship comes to a close. This workshop will break down the 3 conversations, provide scripts and skills to engaging in them, and enlighten participants on how to have better communication with their partners.

Come navigate healthy relationships with queer educators Tonja and Christina as they explore how to foster positive, healthy communication when it comes sex in your relationships - whether you are practicing ethical non-monogamy, monogamy, or something in between.
How to Access Reproductive Healthcare in Texas if You're Under 18
In this session, participants will hear about legal barriers that young people face when trying to prevent pregnancy in states with parental involvement laws for abortion and contraception. They will also learn about how Jane’s Due Process supports young people navigating these barriers and ensuring their full reproductive freedom. Facilitators will present a live-demonstration of Jane’s Due Process’s helpline and also provide information about judicial bypass for abortion, referral resources for teens that reside in contraceptive deserts, and how to safety plan with young people around sexual shame.
LGBTQIAP2+ Inclusive Sex Education: Presented by GLSEN and SIECUS
Pride Month wraps up with LGBTQ+ Inclusive Sex Ed Week of Action June 22-26. Although in-person pride events have been cancelled due to COVID-19, it’s important that we continue to take this time to celebrate and uplift the experiences of LGBTQ+ people. Join as GLSEN’s Education Manager, Becca Mui, will moderate a panel discussion with sexual health educators and LGBTQ+ students. We will share relevant research on LGBTQ+ sex ed, share resources and best practices for K-12 inclusion, and discuss school-based advocacy efforts. LGBTQ+ youth panelists will share their own experiences with sexual health education, their advocacy efforts, and what they want educators to know to better support them.
